3月21日はドミニクの誕生日です！ 皆さんからのお祝いのメッセージをお待ちしています。
21 March is Dominic’s birthday! Hope you all will write your messages of congratulations.彼は今年で64歳になります。私が彼を最初にコンサートで見たのが1992年の1月だからもう32年前・・・。あのスティングのソウル・ケージ・ツアーでのドミニクはカッコ良すぎました。今でも当時のドミニクの演奏動画を見ると、あまりのかっこよさにしばらく心臓がドキドキする。多分私は一種の病気でしょう。しかし流石に私もあれから32年後にこんなサイトを運営する事になんて全然想像もしていませんでした。。。人生は色々面白いもんです。でも私が今こんな事をやっているのは彼が今、とても素晴らしい音楽をやっているから、という以上の理由はありません。
He turns 64 this year. I first saw him in concert in January 1992, so 32 years ago… Dominic on Sting’s Soul Cage tour was too cool for me. Even now, when I watch footage of Dominic playing back then, my heart is thumping for a while because he was so cool. Probably I must be a kind of illness. However I never imagined that 32 years later I would be running a fan site like this. Life is full of interesting things. But I’m doing this now for no other reason than he’s making some very great music at the moment.

この写真ですが、日本のGuitar Magazineのサイトの画像です。今週の頭に、今週誕生日を迎えるギタリストの名前が書いてありまして、このようにちゃんと3月21日のところに「ドミニク・ミラー」と書いてあります。それは大変ありがたい。
しかしドミニクを説明するのに今更「King Swamp」ですか？今の日本でこんな説明しても誰もわからないんじゃないかな？とちょっと心配になりました・・・。人によっては「あれ？Stingの横でギターを弾いているドミニク・ミラーとは別のドミニク・ミラーってギタリストがいるのかな？」って思いそう・・・。

But to explain Dominic by the name “King Swamp” now? I’m a bit worried because I think no one in Japan would understand this kind of explanation nowadays… Some people might misinterpret this as “Oh? Apart from the guitarist playing next to Sting, is there another guitarist called Dominic Miller?”Today,March 21 is Dominic Miller’s Birthay!
Dom is my best guitarist and I respect him so much. It’s short, but I celebrate his birthday and pray for his further development in the future. Congratulations!今日、3/21はドミニク・ミラーの誕生日です！
